This explains what we collect when you apply or refer someone, why we collect it, and how to get it removed. We have tried to describe what actually happens rather than everything we might one day do.
Who we are
Talentfront LLC, in the United States. We decide what is collected here and why, which makes us the controller of it. For anything on this page — including asking us to delete your data — email iancheshire@talentfront.com.
What we collect
When you apply: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, country, age, how you currently earn your money, roughly how much you earn now and what you hope to earn in twelve months, which editing program you want to learn, what devices you have to edit on, your written answers, and the link to your portfolio.
When you refer someone: your email address, plus the name and contact details of each person you refer.
While you are filling in the form: your answers are saved in your own browser so a refresh or a dropped connection does not lose them. That copy stays on your device, is cleared when you submit, and expires after fourteen days. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Automatically: the servers that run this site keep ordinary request logs — your IP address, the page requested, the time, and what your browser reports about itself. That is how any website on the internet works. We use those logs to keep the site up and to spot abuse, not to build a picture of you.
Giving us any of this is voluntary. But the application form is how we assess you, so if you leave it blank we cannot consider you.
Advertising, and the cookies that come with it
We advertise this course on Meta’s platforms, and this site carries Meta’s advertising pixel. It sets cookies in your browser and tells Meta which of our pages you visited. That is how we tell whether our ads are reaching the right people, and how Meta decides who else to show them to. Meta can recognise you across other sites carrying the same pixel — that is what it is for, and it is the part worth knowing.
That is the only third-party script on this site. There is no other analytics, and the only cookie we set ourselves is the sign-in session for our own admin page, which applicants never see.
When you send an application we store, alongside it, the identifiers those Meta cookies hold, your IP address, what your browser reports about itself, and which advert or link brought you to us. We pass them to Meta so it can tell that the application came from someone who saw one of our ads. Without them it cannot join the two up, and we cannot tell which advertising is worth paying for. Your answers themselves are never sent to Meta.
You can stop it. Blocking third-party cookies or using a content blocker prevents it from loading, and the ad preferences on your Facebook or Instagram account control what Meta does with what it already has. Doing either has no effect on your application — we cannot tell who has blocked it and who has not, and we would not weigh it if we could.
Why we collect it
- To decide who to accept onto the programme.
- To contact you about your application, by email or WhatsApp.
- To credit a referral to the person who made it.
- To measure how well our advertising is reaching the right people.
An automated system reads your application and scores it. We advertise this course, and that score tells the advertising platform how well applications like yours match who we are looking for, so it shows the ads to more people like you. The score is a number and a short note about each answer; it is never the whole reason anyone is accepted or turned down, and a person reads every application either way. Ask us and we will tell you what yours was.
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing unrelated to your application.
Where it is stored
In a managed database hosted in the United States. If you are applying from outside the United States, your information is transferred there and is handled under US law. Only our team can read it, through an internal page that requires a one-time sign-in link sent to an approved email address.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of suppliers to run the site — hosting, the database, and the email that carries our own sign-in links. They process your information on our instructions, under contract, and only to provide that service. We do not name them here because we would rather this page stay accurate than list a vendor we might replace; ask us and we will tell you who they are. The advertising platform above is the exception, and is named, because you cannot go and change your settings at a company we have not told you about.
Beyond that, we pass your information to someone else only if:
- the law requires it, or we receive a valid legal request;
- we need it to investigate fraud, abuse, or a threat to someone's safety;
- the business is sold or merged, in which case your information moves with it and this policy travels with it too;
- you have asked us to.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. There is no exception to that one.
How we protect it
Everything travels over an encrypted connection and is encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to our own team, the database refuses anonymous reads outright, and the internal page that shows applications is behind a sign-in link that only goes to approved addresses.
No system is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If your information is ever exposed in a way that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority as promptly as the law requires.
How long we keep it
Indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it. We would rather say that plainly than name a period we do not actually enforce. If you want your application or referral removed, email iancheshire@talentfront.com and we will delete it.
If someone referred you
Someone who applied may have given us your name and contact details so we could invite you to apply. We ask people to refer only those who are happy to hear from us, but you did not give us your details yourself.
If we contact you, we will tell you who referred you. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, and we will — even if you never reply to us otherwise.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email iancheshire@talentfront.com. Specifically, you can ask us to:
- send you a copy of what we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a machine-readable file;
- stop using it, or pause while we sort out a disagreement about it;
- withdraw your consent, which stops us using it from that point on without unpicking what we did before.
Depending on where you live these rights come from laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act, and they carry conditions and limits of their own. We will honour a request regardless of where you are, and we will not treat you any differently for making one. We aim to reply within thirty days.
If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first — we would rather fix it. You are also entitled to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Age
The application is for people aged 16 or over, and the form will not accept a younger age. We do not knowingly collect anything about children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we hold information about someone under 16 — whether they applied or someone referred them — tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top. If the change is a significant one and we have your email address, we will email you rather than leave you to notice.
